先日の『iPhone 6』の発表会の大トリゲストとして出演した人気アーティストU2。アイルランドでデビューした彼らは世界的なアーティストとなった。そんなU2のアルバム『Songs of Innocence』が5億人に無償配布されると発表。

アルバムには11曲の楽曲が入っており、10月13日までの限定となっている。無償配布の代金はアップルが持ってくれているようでU2は既に新作を大ヒットを約束されたようなものなのである。

しかしそんな『Songs of Innocence』がダウンロードした記憶もないのに勝手にライブラリに入っているとユーザーからクレームが殺到している。それだけでなく、削除することもできず困惑している人もいる。そんな人のためにU2のアルバム『Songs of Innocence』を削除するツールが公開された。下記のリンクへ進み、「Remove Album」をクリックすると削除される。

1度削除されたアルバムは無償でダウンロードすることができず、再度入手するには発売日の10月14日まで待つしかないだろう。

U2は罪深いバンドで、BONO(ボノ)がリスペクト(尊敬)するPatti Smith(パティ・スミス)をU2のライヴのオープニング・アクト(前座)にしたのですよ。
10,000 ManiacsというバンドのNatalie Merchant(ナタリー・マーチェント)がPatti Smith(パティ・スミス)とBruce Springsteen(ブルース・スプリングスティーン)の共作の「Because the Night」という曲をカヴァーしているのですが、Patti(パティ)がU2の前座で、「Because the Night」を披露したら、「どうして、ナタリー・マーチェントの曲を歌っているの？」というU2のファンがいたとか。
「アップル、U2の最新アルバム「Sons of Innocence」全11曲をiTunesユーザーに無料で提供」という記事に「appleのU2のcmにパティスミス」の検索ワードで、辿り着く方がいましたが、AppleのU2のCMにPatti Smith(パティ・スミス)が出ているとしたら、Patti Smith(パティ・スミス)ファンとして屈辱です。
「ふざけるなBONO(ボノ)、いい加減にしろ。」です。
U2の新アルバムをダウンロードした記憶がないのにライブラリに入っていて削除も出来ず困っている方は、削除ツールをお使い下さい。

Remarks:

MLK is dedicated to John F. Kennedy, who died 42 years ago to the day. Bono brings a young girl on stage during Mysterious Ways and gives her a piggy-back ride. 'Stuck In A Moment' is dedicated to Michael Hutchence on the 8th anniversary of his death. Patti Smith joins the band for Instant Karma again tonight, but the concert comes to an abrupt end at the end of the song. Bono leads Smith off-stage, The Edge follows while still playing the song, then Adam leaves. They come back out and sing another chorus before everyone leaves again. The house lights come on and the show is over, even though two more songs are on the printed setlist. Some fans at the show say Smith looked like she was feeling ill on stage.

The legendary Patti Smith opens tonight's show, and makes a guest appearance with U2 on 'Instant Karma.' During the song, she walks toward Larry, stands on his drum riser, and sings part of the song at him.
